

The Difference between Birds It was eight thirty in the morning when the line of students filed into Mrs. Baum's classroom. The children quickly placed their homework on the teacher's desk in three perfect piles and their various belongings in small wooden boxes which measured to exactly one cubic foot. They walked rigidly to their desks, which were arranged in four perfect rows of four facing the blackboard at the front of the room.
